The Finnish Marine Industries Federation Finnboat is the umbrella organisation for Finland’s marine industry and trade. Its mission is to bring together boating companies under one roof and promote their operations and healthy competition, as well as boating and boating safety. The aim of Finnboat’s communications is to further increase the popularity of boating, attract new enthusiasts to boating, and increase both the visibility of the boating industry and trade. The key target groups for communications are Finnboat’s member companies, the media and boating enthusiasts.

Making the most of social media channels
Through active content production and targeted marketing, Medita accelerated the growth of Finnboat’s Suomiveneilee.fi, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram channels and also launched new LinkedIn and YouTube channels. Finnboat has successfully used social media to reach out to boaters and stimulate conversations about boating in the desired way.
Training and media services for members
Finnboat’s members account for almost 100% of domestic turnover and Finnish exports in the boating sector. One of Finnboat’s goals is to develop the communication skills of its member companies, and here too Medita offers a wide range of solutions according to individual needs. For example, members can access Medita’s media distribution service, and Medita can provide training to member companies in utilising social media in their own marketing activities.
